Classically Trained as a painter, my first real devotion, understanding, and passion to the arts manifested itself during the late-nineties when my thirst for creation exploded after befriending several graffiti artist in the Boston area. The enormity of the works and the care free expression of color displayed a means by which I could finally express my classical training as a Neo-expressionist in a fresh, exciting, and unruly style. The autonomous writing with violent yet delicate aerosol strokes began to change my art and instill in me a passion for urban art. This transformation quickly led to a discovery and passion in street art. Street Art has become an outlet for me in the sense that I admire the old school graffiti writers lawlessness, bold color, and in your face expression, but found a dissatisfaction in the destroying of personal property and lack of message. There is great satisfaction in pasting up, or stenciling my art on old boarded up buildings, or decrepit walls void of life, and knowing that it will gradually deteriorate. It's a way to get my social and political commentary out to the average working man who otherwise would never step foot in a gallery.
